In an unusual scene, the principal of a medical college was seen on a stretcher being transported across a waterlogged area by four staff members in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place at Ram Prasad Bismil Government Medical College in Shahjahanpur and the video went viral on July 13.

Visuals showed the principal, sitting upright on the stretcher, was carefully moved across the flooded pathway by four dedicated staff members

In Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, an unexpected sight captured attention, the principal of Pt. Ram Prasad Bismil Government Medical College was being transported on a stretcher. Contrary to initial assumptions, the principal was not a patient. The reason for this unconventional mode of transportation was to keep his clothes dry while crossing a waterlogged area.

This unusual incident highlights the challenges faced by the institution in dealing with the waterlogging issue, prompting a call for improved infrastructure to avoid such scenarios in the future.
