A portrait of Lord Ram was displayed underwater in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of the Ram temple.

This took place in Rushikonda beach in Visakhapatnam on January 22.

Visuals showed the divers setting up the portrait underwater. These carefully held onto the life-sized cut out of the Hindu God and after establishing it in a straight position, they even bowed down in front, to worship the image. Balancing the cut-out inside the water was a challenge but the divers managed to pull it off effortlessly.

According to a report, this was done by a five-diver team under the leadership of Balaram Naidu B. A former submariner of the Indian Army, Naidu guided this event wherein the divers established the picture of Lord Ram on the ocean bed, at a remarkable depth of 22 feet.

On January 22, the Ram temple was inaugurated in a gala ceremony in Ayodhya, a city in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh which is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram. The statue of Lord Ram at the temple was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the event was attended by a number of celebrities.
