Following their electoral triumph, supporters of the Congress party rejoiced with exuberant celebrations in western India’s Maharashtra.

The incident took place at Kolhapur on June 4.

Visuals showed congress supporters were seen dancing, singing, and waving flags joyously, while splashing colors in celebration of their victory.

Maha Vikas Aghadi clinched five of six seats in Mumbai, with the Congress winning Mumbai North Central and the Sena (UBT) bagging Mumbai North East, Mumbai North West, Mumbai South and Mumbai North Central. BJP’s Piyush Goyal won from Mumbai North in his debut Lok Sabha election. The BJP also sought recounting in Mumbai North West. Further, Ajit Pawar-led NCP’s Sunil Tatkare won from Raigad, the only seat the party was leading in since counting began at 8 am.
