Political feud erupts in northern India: SP accuses Loda group of land grab, allegations denied

In a fresh political controversy in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has accused the Loda Group of forcibly seizing land from marginalized farmers in Ayodhya. The allegations come amidst claims of violent altercations, which the Group denies, asserting that they are the victims of an assault.

The incident took place in Ayodhya and the video went viral on September 15.

Visuals showed in the fields, a chaotic scene unfolded with numerous people fighting among themselves. Different groups clashed, wielding sticks and lathis, resulting in a tumultuous environment filled with commotion and disorder. The atmosphere was tense and disorganized, as individuals aggressively attacked one another, creating a sense of turmoil and confusion in the area.

The Samajwadi Party, led by Akhilesh Yadav, has recently posted a video on social media alleging that the Loda Group is involved in forcibly taking over land owned by the marginalized Maanghi community in Ayodhya. The video, shared by SP’s media cell, shows footage of a violent clash, which the party claims is evidence of the group’s illegal activities.

According to the SP, the Loda Group, backed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is involved in a land grab in Ayodhya, which has become a hotspot for property deals following the Ram Mandir verdict. The party accuses the state government of supporting these actions, claiming that the police are complicit and have sided with the Loda Group.

In response, the Loda Group has denied the accusations. They assert that the land in question was legally purchased from a farmer and that their employees were attacked by armed thugs when they attempted to take possession of the property. The group reported the incident to the police, who have since made arrests related to the attack.

The Ayodhya police have countered the SP’s claims, stating that an FIR has been filed and legal action is underway. They refute the SP’s allegations, describing them as untrue and politically motivated.

The situation highlights the intense political climate in Uttar Pradesh, where land issues and political rivalries are increasingly coming to the fore.
