An act of heroism was undertaken by a police officer who saved a boy who got electrocuted in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place near an electric pole in Gursahaiganj Kotwali complex in Kannauj district on June 26.
Visuals depicted the boy lying in the jeep unconscious, while a policeman administering chest compressions to revive him. The van can be seen swiftly heading towards a hospital, ensuring prompt medical aid for the child in critical condition.
According to reports, constables Gajendra and Anil heroically rescued 8 year old Kamlesh who was electrocuted and stuck to an electric pole at the complex. Upon spotting the child, they quickly freed him from the electrical hazard and rushed him to the hospital for urgent medical care, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Officials stated that despite multiple complaints about electric current from the concerned pole, the electricity department failed to address the issue, resulting in the child being electrocuted.
