Police destroy over 10,000 packets illegal liquor in southern India
In a major crackdown on illegal liquor, police in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, destroyed 10,582 packets of illicit alcohol seized in various cases.
The incident took place in  Kuppam, Chittoor district on July 16.
Visuals showed the police officials and an excavator to destroy the liquor packages seized by the police.

According to reports, the operation took place at the dumping yard under the supervision of Chittoor District Enforcement Superintendent Sridhar.

The illegal liquor was confiscated by the Gudipally police station and destroyed to send a strong message against smuggling. Superintendent Sridhar warned that strict action would be taken against anyone involved in smuggling liquor and other unsocial activities.

The event was attended by Kuppam Urban CI GT Naidu, Rural CI Mallesh Yadav, Gudipally SI Srinivasulu, and other officials. This move is part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal liquor trade and maintain law and order in the region.
