Late at night in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a high-speed chase unfolded as police pursued and apprehended a car driver who hit a motorcyclist and fled the scene. The dramatic chase, which covered two kilometers, was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.

The incident took place near the Pattharkatta Chauraha in Fatehpur on August 30.

Visuals showed a car, driven by someone heavily intoxicated, sped away after committing a hit-and-run. As the driver attempted to evade capture, a police car and a bike chased the vehicle for a long time. Eventually, after a tense pursuit, the police managed to catch up and apprehend the driver.

According to reports the speeding car struck a motorcyclist from behind and fled the scene. The collision, which occurred in the vicinity of a police picket, prompted an immediate response from the officers on duty. The injured motorcyclist was quickly taken to the district hospital by the police.

Meanwhile, the car driver attempted to escape, leading to a two-kilometer chase through the city streets. Initially, the car headed towards Patel Nagar but then veered towards Kachhari. Despite the efforts of two police officers on motorcycles, the car continued to evade capture, speeding through the deserted roads of ITI Road.

As the chase continued, another police vehicle joined in, with sirens blaring in an attempt to stop the fleeing driver. However, the car refused to slow down, creating a tense pursuit. The chase finally came to an end near Verma Tiraha, where the car was forced to stop due to traffic congestion. The police immediately apprehended.
