In a heroic act, a pitbull named Jenny saved the lives of children yesterday by killing a venomous King Cobra. The snake entered the garden where the children of the household’s domestic help were playing. Upon hearing their cries for help, Jenny broke free from her leash and attacked the cobra.

Punjab Singh, Jenny’s owner, said this isn’t the first time the dog has saved lives by killing a snake, having dealt with 8 to 10 snakes in the past.

Mr. Singh mentioned that his house is near fields, leading to frequent encounters with snakes, especially during the rainy season. He expressed immense gratitude for Jenny’s courageous act, adding that animals should receive more love and respect for their loyalty and service. “If Jenny hadn’t acted quickly, the situation could have been tragic,” said Mr. Singh, who also shared stories of other animals in their household, including a bull and a mongoose, helping keep their family safe.
