Phone blasts inside front pocket of senior citizen in southern India

In a shocking incident, a phone blasted inside the front pocket of a 70-year-old man in southern India’s Kerala.

The incident took place in Marottichal, Thrissur city on May 18.

The visuals of the incident showed a man, a senior citizen, enjoying his cup of tea in a hotel when suddenly the phone blasted inside the front pocket of his shirt. The man got frightened as his shirt caught fire. The fire is said to be caused due to bursting of the battery of the phone.

The fire was doused by pouring water.

Fortunately, the man sustained no injuries.
