People vandalize water park with JCB after dispute over entry charges in northern India
A group of people vandalized a section of a water park in the dispute over entry charges in northern India’s Rajasthan.
The incident took place in Chittorgarh district on June 6.
Visuals showed a crowd had gathered in the park. A JCB machine attempted to demolish the shed and swimming pool. People wandered around with sticks in their hands, recording videos.
According to the reports, police officials reported that the individuals demanded free entry, claiming they were local residents. When the park authorities refused, a scuffle ensued, and the individuals called additional locals to the scene. Using a JCB machine, they damaged parts of the park, including the boundary of a swimming pool, police stated.
Five to six people were injured in the incident, causing panic among visitors. A police official mentioned that a case has been registered, and efforts are underway to locate the suspects.
