Pedestrian killed, another injured by speeding auto rickshaw in western India
In a tragic incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a pedestrian lost his life, and another was injured after being struck by a speeding auto rickshaw.
The incident took place in Bandra in Mumbai city on July 16.
Visuals showed the two individuals walking across the road when they were suddenly hit by the speeding auto rickshaw.
According to reports, despite immediate efforts by local residents to help, one pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report by Times Now. The other injured person is currently receiving medical treatment.
As of now, there have been no reports of any legal action taken against the autorickshaw driver involved in the accident. This incident raises concerns about road safety and the enforcement of traffic regulations in the bustling city of Mumbai.
