In a recent incident, a peacock was trapped in a 50-foot deep well and was rescued by a farmer in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The incident occurred in the Multai Forest Range in Badegaon of Betul district on June 27.
The visuals showed the peacock inside the well and a basket being lowered in an attempt to rescue it, which unfortunately failed. Subsequently, the snake rescuer entered the well using a rope, aided by locals. Gripping the peacock, the rescuer was hoisted out of the well by the locals pulling the rope and rescued the peacock.
According to forest officials, the peacock was found by the farmer. Subsequent rescue efforts were initiated promptly. After its rescue, the peacock was handed over to the Forest Department for medical assessments. After receiving positive health reports, the department plans to release the peacock in an open forest.
According to reports, a farmer working in the field discovered the peacock unconscious in the well. Subsequently, local residents assisted in summoning snake rescuers who initially attempted to retrieve the peacock. However, after their attempt was unsuccessful they descended into the well and successfully rescued the peacock.
