Paratrooper’s salute goes wrong: lands on chief guest instead of the road in Pakistan
A Pakistani paratrooper lost control of his parachute and accidentally landed directly on the chief guest seated at the roadside.
The incident, which took place in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, on November 1, 2023, has recently gone viral.
Visuals show the soldier descending rapidly with a parachute, leaving trails of red and blue smoke intended as part of a salute. Unfortunately, the landing went awry, and the soldier crash-landed directly on the stage where the chief guest was seated. Startled by the dramatic arrival, the chief guest immediately got up and moved away in apparent fear.
According to reports, no injuries were reported from the incident, which occurred during the 76th Independence Day celebrations of Gilgit-Baltistan.
