Lion on prowl, enters school; triggers panic

This bizarre incident occurred at a private primary school in Una district, in western India’s Gujarat on January 17.
Visuals show a lion chasing a calf frantically into a school. Later, the lion is seen feasting on a calf brutally in the playground. The lion is seen wandering around the school for a long time before it climbs upstairs.
In an interview with Newslions, Dinesh Baijoshi, the school secretary, said that they witnessed the lion through CCTV footage at the school in the morning around 06:30 to 07:00. After noticing the lion, they promptly informed the forest officials. At the time the officials reached the school, the lion allegedly ran into a farm area. Later, the dead calf was taken by the officials.
The school was declared holiday as a precautionary measure.
