Open wire sparks fire in middle of flooded road amidst heavy rains in southern India
In a distressing incident in southern India’s Karnataka, an open electric wire came in contact with floodwater, causing sparks of fire and panic among bystanders during heavy rainfall.
The incident took place in Bangalore city, and the video went viral on October 23.
Visuals showed a flooded street amidst torrential rain as vehicles passed by. However, an open wire in the water caused massive fire sparks, creating a life-threatening scene for those trying to pass through the area. The fire sparks added to the chaos, with many fearing for their safety.
According to reports, the India Meteorological Department has predicted more rainfall for Bengaluru. On October 22, the forecast indicated moderate rain and thundershowers in the city and its surroundings within the next 24 hours. Recent record-breaking rainfall, including 186.2 mm recorded at the GKVK observatory, has caused significant disruption, particularly in northern Bengaluru.
