Oil tanker overturns in northern India, accident claims one life
An oil tanker overturned in northern India’s Himachal Pradesh, leading to the death of one person and several others being injured.
This incident happened at Tahliwala Kaswa village in the Haroli area, Una district on April 7.
Visuals showed the massive fire which had broken out in the area as the oil tanker overturned. The flames raged on with a lot of intensity and the thick black smoke from it rose higher into the sky, clouding it completely. The smoke was so massive that it could be seen from a great distance. A group of people had gathered at the spot of the accident. According to a report, there was brake failure in the oil tanker as a result of which it overturned in a busy marketplace.
The accident involved several vehicles in the area and the victim, identified as Subash Chander, was on a scooter when this happened. Eight others sustained injuries were sent to the Regional Hospital in Una.
