Officials come to rescue after massive fire breaks out at chemical factory in northern India

Firefighters come to rescue after a massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in northern India’s Punjab.

This incident happened at the Dera Bassi town of Mohali district on April 8.

Visuals showed the horrifying flames wreaking havoc at the Mango Chemical factory. The fire rose to a great height and so did the thick black plumes of smoke that clouded the whole area above the factory. A group of people had gathered at the spot of the accident and a fire brigade vehicle was seen arriving at the spot.

In another visual, fire officials were seen trying to douse off the fire.

According to a report 100 fire officials and 15 fire tenders were pressed into action as they attempted to douse the flames from the factory.

Police shared that the information about the fire was received at 3 pm IST (Indian Standard Time) and after four hours of effort, the fire officials were able to douse the flames by 7:55 pm IST. Fortunately, there weren’t any reports of injuries or casualties in the fire.

Aashika Jain, the deputy commissioner of Mohali, stated that upon receiving notification of the fire, the local fire department and emergency response teams immediately sprang into action.

Viraj S Tidke, the additional deputy commissioner, confirmed that there were no reports of casualties or injuries resulting from the fire.
