Official rescues child while ziplining over inundated river in northern India
In a heroic incident in northern India’s Himachal Pradesh official rescues a child while ziplining over an inundated river after a cloudburst in the region.
The incident took place in Rampur district on August 2.
Visuals, NDRF officials carrying the child on his shoulders while holding the rope to come towards the shore. Once ashore, other rescue officials ensured the safety of the child.
According to reports, rescue operations were in full swing on Friday to locate over 45 individuals missing after flash floods caused by cloudbursts in three Himachal Pradesh districts. Officials confirmed that 29 people stranded at a power project site were safely rescued overnight. The cloudbursts, which occurred on Wednesday in the Nirmand, Sainj, and Malana areas of Kullu, Padhar in Mandi, and Rampur in Shimla, left five people dead and over 45 missing.
