Narrow escape! Two-wheeler rider survives near-fatal crash under dumper in central India
In a heart-stopping incident in central India’s Maharashtra, a two-wheeler rider narrowly escaped a horrific accident after overtaking a dumper on the wrong side.
The incident took place at the Govind Teerth Bridge at New Bypass Road in Ambernath district on September 16
Visuals showed the moment when the biker, attempting to overtake the dumper from the left side, ended up under its rear wheels as the dumper turned left. While the bike was crushed beyond recognition, the rider miraculously survived. The dumper, unaware of the collision, dragged the motorcycle for a considerable distance before stopping.
According to reports, the incident happened around 10:30 AM when vehicles had just started moving after a signal turned green. Two dumpers belonging to Yash Enterprises were turning towards Shivmandir when the motorcyclist attempted to overtake one of them from the left. Unfortunately, the dumper was also making a left turn, trapping the motorcyclist under its rear wheels.
Though the bike was destroyed, the rider survived with minor injuries. Police from Shivajinagar Station immediately arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the accident.
