Multiple injuries reported in western India collision involving several vehicles
In a tragic incident in western India’s Gujarat a collision involving a rickshaw, a tempo, and a motorcycle resulted in the death of one person and left several others injured. The accident, which occurred around 9:30 AM, has shocked local residents and prompted swift emergency response.
The incident took place near Daréda Extension in Jamnagar district on June 20.
Visuals showed the collision occurred when a tempo, driven by an unidentified driver, collided with a rickshaw, causing it to overturn and crash into a road barrier. Simultaneously, a motorcycle traveling along the same route collided with the rickshaw, resulting in a triple accident scenario.
Tragically, the motorcycle rider, identified as Ranjit Sagar Road resident and brass factory worker Harshukhbhai Rangani, lost his life at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. He was on his way to work when caught in the unfortunate accident.
Five passengers who were traveling in the rickshaw sustained injuries and were promptly rushed to GG Hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable, though they are still under observation.
Local authorities, including traffic police and emergency response teams from 108, quickly arrived at the scene to provide immediate assistance. The area around the accident was cordoned off as investigators gathered evidence and conducted initial inquiries into the cause of the collision.
The tempo driver involved in the accident fled the scene, prompting a search by authorities to ascertain their whereabouts and hold them accountable for their actions.
The incident has underscored the need for enhanced road safety awareness and measures to prevent such tragic accidents in the future. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine liability and ensure justice for the victims involved.
