A police officer assisted a wild tusker in crossing the road near a police station to prevent a potential human-wildlife conflict.

The incident occurred near the Athirappilly Police Station in Thrissur district of Kerala, and the video went viral on December 25.

The visual shows a wild elephant stepping onto the road, where a police officer gestures and points, guiding the animal to move along. The elephant briefly pauses to look at the officer before obediently crossing the road.

According to reports, the officer was Civil Police Officer Muhammed from Athirappilly Police Station, who directed the elephant, namely Ezhattumugham Ganapathy, to safely navigate the crossing.
