Motorcyclist dragged by car for kilometers after collision

A car dragged a young man, who was on a bike, for two kilometers following an accident.

The incident occurred at the Asmoli bypass in the Sadar Kotwali area of Sambhal district on December 29.

The visual shows the car dragging the bike, with sparks flying as it scrapes along the road. Onlookers in a car behind filmed the incident.

According to reports, the severely injured youth succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning while receiving treatment at the hospital. The police arrived at the scene after receiving information and took the bike rider to the district hospital for medical care, where he later passed away.

The youth has been identified as Sukhbir, a resident of Shahjadkheda village in the Mainather police station area of Moradabad. He had in-laws in Basla village, located within the Hayatnagar police station jurisdiction. On the evening of the incident, Sukhbir was riding his bike back home from his in-laws’ house. When he reached Vajidpuram on the Asmoli bypass, a speeding Bolero vehicle from Moradabad collided with his bike. After the collision, the driver accelerated, causing the bike rider to be dragged.

 

Anuj Tomar, the in-charge of Sadar Kotwali, stated that efforts are underway to locate the vehicle, and further action will be taken once the vehicle’s registration number is identified.
