Monkey attacks create panic in western India’s neighbourhoods
Residents of Vastral neighbourhoods in western India’s Gujarat are facing increasing anxiety due to a spate of aggressive monkey attacks.
The incident took place in Sridhar Sparsh Society of Vastral in Ahmedabad city on July 11.
Visuals showed a young woman passing by the gate of one of these societies was attacked by a monkey, severely biting her leg and making her fall down then getting up crying.
According to reports, these incidents have left several people injured and caused significant disturbances in the area. The monkeys have been reported to invade homes, damage property, and attack individuals, leading to a heightened sense of fear among the locals.
Local authorities have been alerted, and measures are being taken to control the situation. However, the community remains concerned as they await effective action to curb the monkey menace.
Residents have been advised to stay vigilant and avoid direct confrontations with the monkeys. Efforts include setting up traps and coordinating with wildlife experts to safely capture and relocate the troublesome primates.
