Mob mercilessly assaults former student leader amidst protests in Bangladesh

In a horrific incident in Bangladesh, a mob brutally attacked a former leader of a student wing amidst accusations related to protests.
The incident took place at Rajshahi University of Rajshahi district on September 7.
Visuals showed a man being beaten relentlessly by the mob, which appeared fierce, using sticks and primarily targeting his legs, especially the knees. The victim endured severe injuries during the attack.
According to reports, Abdullah Al Masud, a former leader of the Chhatra League, the student wing of the Awami League, was assaulted at Binodpur Bazar near Rajshahi University on Saturday night. Critically injured, he was handed over to the police station.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead at around 12:30 a.m. SM Masud Parvez, officer-in-charge (OC) of the Boalia police station, confirmed the incident.
Authorities stated that the attack stemmed from allegations of violence against students and the public on August 5. Following the assault, a group of students took him to the Matihar police station.
