MLA narrowly escapes accident after falling on tracks during Vande Bharat flagging off ceremony in northern India

In a shocking incident, BJP MLA Sarita Bhadauria narrowly escaped being hit by a Vande Bharat train after accidentally falling on the railway tracks during a flagging-off ceremony in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place at the Etawah railway station in Etawah district on September 16.

Visuals showed during the train’s flagging ceremony, a large crowd gathered on the platform, many holding green flags to wave at the new Vande Bharat train. Excitement filled the air as people stood near the edge, waiting for the train to depart. Suddenly, due to the swelling crowd, a female MLA lost her balance and fell onto the tracks in front of the train. Chaos erupted as security personnel and several bystanders rushed down to the tracks to lift her back up. Amidst shouts and gestures to stop the train, the crowd worked together to rescue her, preventing a potential disaster.

According to reports on Monday evening in Etawah, BJP MLA Sarita Bhadauria had a close brush with danger while participating in the flagging-off ceremony of the Vande Bharat train. As the train, en route from Agra to Varanasi, made its first stop in Etawah, local representatives, including Bhadauria, gathered to greet the train.

During the ceremony, as officials prepared to wave the green flag, Bhadauria unexpectedly fell onto the railway tracks after being pushed from behind. The train’s horn had already sounded, signaling its departure, but quick-thinking officials and party workers immediately signaled the driver to halt the train.

Chaos ensued on the platform, with people rushing to her aid. A group of individuals quickly jumped onto the tracks to lift the MLA back onto the platform. Thanks to their swift actions, Bhadauria was unharmed, and the train was later dispatched safely.

This incident occurred during the virtual flagging off of the Vande Bharat train by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Gujarat. The train made its stop in Etawah before heading towards Kanpur and then Varanasi.
