In a miraculous incident in western India’s Goa, a couple narrowly escaped death after their car plunged into a deep gorge.

The incident took place on a culvert located on the Mollem-Collem border in the South Goa district on September 28.

Visuals showed the couple, a man and a woman, standing on massive rocks, while their car lay submerged between two huge rocks in a fast-flowing stream. Water was gushing at high speed between the rocks, leaving the car trapped under the stream.According to reports, the couple was uninjured and was rescued by the fire and emergency services. They had been traveling in a Goa-registered i-10 car, returning from Dudhsagar waterfalls after organizing an event in Goa. The accident occurred at around 12 noon on Saturday when the driver swerved to avoid hitting a dog, leading the car to fall into the gorge. Later, a larger crane was summoned from Ponda Fire and Emergency Services to retrieve the vehicle.
