In a harrowing incident in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir, three multi storey residential buildings and four shops were gutted in a massive midnight blaze.
The fire broke out in the Bhatyas area of Gandoh Bhalessa village in Doda district on November 15.
Visuals from the scene showed fierce flames engulfing the buildings in the dead of night, with the fire spreading uncontrollably. The sight of the destructive blaze left residents in shock and distress, as they watched helplessly while the fire raged through the area.
According to reports, locals allege a delay in the arrival of fire tenders from Gandoh, located just 6 km from the incident site. The authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.
A similar fire incident had earlier been reported from Gandoh Bhalessa village, when a massive blaze broke out in a nearby forest, with huge flames visible from afar. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in that case.
