Mesmerizing drone show illuminates southern India amidst Dussehra celebrations
In a captivating event in southern India’s Karnataka, a stunning drone show left spectators spellbound during the Dasara celebrations.
The incident took place at the Bannimantap Torchlight Parade grounds in Mysuru district on October 6.
Visuals showed dazzling drones lighting up the sky, forming various iconic figures like the nine planets in orbit, a soldier, and a goddess in enchanting formations, much to the delight of the gathered crowd. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the audience watched the spectacular display unfold above them.
According to reports, the administration decided to allow the public to watch the drone shows for free on October 6 and 7. However, entry will require a pass for the drone displays scheduled for October 11 and 12, stated Muni Gopalaraju, director of the Technical Department of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Ltd. An estimated 1,500 drones will participate in the upcoming displays. Mr. Gopalaraju also noted that CESC introduced an ‘electric chariot’ during the Dasara festivities, and local professionals have been dedicated to decorating the roads and circles with lamps to ensure the city is beautifully illuminated for the celebrations.
