Under the knife, 75-year-old man belts out Bollywood number to amuse his doctors
In a heartwarming incident in central India’s Chhattisgarh, a 75-year-old patient sang through his surgery, lifting the spirits of the entire medical team.
The incident took place at NKH Nursing Home in Janjgir Champa district, and the video went viral on November 20.
Visuals showed the cheerful atmosphere in the operating theater, with surgeons smiling as they performed the procedure. The patient, identified as Ganga Ram Yadav, charmed the team with his rendition of the nostalgic tune, “Main 17 Baras Ka, Tu 16 Baras Ki, Mil Na Jaaye Naina, Ek Do Baras Zara Door Raha Na.” He was also seen conversing animatedly with the surgeons, who applauded his courage and positivity.
According to reports, Ganga Ram Yadav had been suffering from a hernia and sought treatment at a private nursing home. Doctors recommended surgery, which he underwent with an unusually lively attitude. Following the successful operation, he was shifted to the ICU for post-operative care.
Doctors noted that while patients often experience fear before surgeries, Ganga Ram’s fearless demeanor and singing set an inspiring example for others.
