Massive python released into forest after sparking panic in village
A massive python was rescued by forest department officials after it caused panic among villagers when spotted in a farmer’s field.
The incident took place in Khuraira village of Malthone city in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, central India, on December 19.
Visuals showed rescue officials working under sunny skies to capture a massive python spotted in a farmer’s field. Locals appeared visibly shaken by the size of the snake. The officials used wooden sticks and a jute bag to secure the python, and after an intense struggle, they managed to get it into the sack. Later, the python was safely released into a forested area, closely monitored by the rescue team as it slithered away into the wild.
According to reports, panic spread among nearby farmers when the 15-foot python was first seen in the field. The Forest Department, with assistance from locals, successfully rescued the snake and ensured its safe relocation.
Vikram Singh Baghel, a farmer from Khurera village, revealed that the python was spotted near the Naren River in his field. The sight of the enormous snake alarmed villagers, as it seemed to be searching for prey. Despite their initial attempts to catch it, the locals were unsuccessful and called in the Forest Department for help.
Upon arrival, the rescue team discovered the python hiding in nearby bushes. After two hours of determined effort by both the Forest Department and the villagers, the snake was secured in a sack and safely transported to the forest.
