Massive landslide occurs due to heavy rains in western India
A massive landslide occurred after heavy rains in western India’s Maharashtra.
The incident took place at Nirman Viva Society in Ambegaon Budruk of Pune district on June 4.
Visuals showed the compound of a building suffering a landslide situation, collapsing into the parking lot. The parking lot was filled with water, stones, and debris.
According to reports, the buildings were in danger of collapse, leading to the evacuation of Buildings B and C of Nirman Viva, located on the lower side. So far, 36 flat holders have taken shelter in the Club House.
The landslide exposed that the building was in an unauthorized place. The buildings were constructed on the edge of Ambegaon Pathar, which is 50-60 feet high.
