Massive fire erupts in passenger train in northern India
A fire broke out in the coaches of a passenger train in northern India’s Bihar.

The incident occurred at Kiul Junction in the Lakhisarai district on June 6.

Visuals showed the blaze engulfing multiple coaches, prompting immediate action from emergency responders to extinguish the fire. People began running in all directions, creating an atmosphere of chaos at the railway station.

According to reports, the engine of the Patna-Jasidih MEMU train caught fire at around 5:20 PM. Witnesses stated that as soon as the train arrived and stopped at the junction, smoke began emanating from the engine. Those present quickly detached the engine from the coaches. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

Railway officials were notified of the incident. Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade arrived at the scene and began controlling the blaze. According to RPF Inspector Arvind Kumar Singh, there is a possibility that the smoke originated from the train’s brake system.
