A devastating fire broke out in northeastern India’s Assam, destroying several shops, including an old warehouse and hardware stores.

The incident took place at Puranigudam of Garmur area in Nagaon district on May 29.

Visuals showed the massive flames and black smoke touched the sky. People walking on the road stopped their vehicles and watched this horrifying scene.

According to the reports the massive fire caused significant damage, and efforts to control the blaze were ongoing. Firefighters struggled to douse the flames, with growing fears that the fire might spread to nearby shops and residential areas, worsening the situation. The exact cause of the fire had yet to be determined, and no casualties were reported. Local authorities cordoned off the area, and emergency services were on high alert to prevent further escalation.
