Massive fire breaks out in plastic warehouse, no casualties reported

A massive fire broke out in a plastic warehouse, causing chaos in the locality due to the flammable materials stored inside.

The incident took place in the Barra area of Kanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, on January 27.

The visuals show thick black smoke billowing from the building, with flames reaching up to 10 feet and alarming nearby residents.

According to reports, local people initially attempted to douse the flames before alerting the fire department. Firefighters swiftly arrived from a nearby mini-control room but faced challenges navigating the narrow lane leading to the warehouse.

After an hour of persistent effort, the fire was brought under control. Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Deepak Sharma confirmed there were no casualties.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which posed a significant threat due to the highly flammable nature of the materials stored.
