Massive fire breaks out at transformer near temple in eastern India, four shops gutted

Four shops were gutted after fire broke out at a transformer in eastern India’s Jharkhand.
This incident happened in Garhwa district on May 18.
Horrifying visuals showed the massive fire at the transformer. The fire rose to a great height and thick black smoke emanated from the area.
According to a report, the fire followed a huge blast in the transformer. The transformer reportedly was overloaded and hence it caught fire following an explosion. People in the area were thrown into panic after this incident and chaos ensued. They helped in dousing the fire. The flames were put out by the fire brigade but not before it completely burnt four shops. The shopkeepers alleged that the transformer was placed wrongly. Items worth lakhs have been said to be burnt in the fire.
