Massive fire breaks out at crop field in northern India
A massive fire broke out on a wheat field in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, leaving acres of crops burnt and destroyed.
This incident happened in Kishanpur village, Mathura district on April 10.
Visuals showed the crops on the field in the fire. The raging blaze engulfed the crops much to the agony of the farmers who had grown these with so much hard work and effort. The fire rapidly spread across the field and farmers were seen at a distance, helpless.
Thick black plumes of smoke emanated from the field as the flames raged on with full intensity. It was learnt that five bighas of crops on the field were destroyed and burnt in the fire which was caused by a high tension wire passing over the field. Sparks were created as the wires struck each other due to strong winds, leading to the fire. The fire brigade did arrive to douse the blaze but by then, the damage had already been done.
