Massive fire breaks out at complex in western India, no casualties reported
A major fire erupted on the 17th floor of a building in western India’s Maharashtra early this morning. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, although the blaze spread panic among local residents.
The incident took place on the 17th floor of a high-rise building in the NRI Complex located in Seawoods, Nerul, Navi Mumbai on October 14.
Visuals showed flames were raging fiercely on the top floor of the building, reaching dangerously high. The fire seemed unstoppable as it spread rapidly, with thick black smoke billowing into the sky. The intensity of the flames painted a terrifying picture, turning the entire scene into chaos. Below, a crowd of onlookers had gathered, staring up in shock and fear, watching as the fire consumed the building’s top floor. The orange glow of the blaze reflected on their anxious faces, while the sound of crackling fire filled the air.
According to reports, the fire, which caused thick black smoke to spread throughout the area, created a sense of fear and chaos among the local residents. Upon noticing the blaze, people residing in the building rushed outside in a state of panic, screaming for help.
The fire department was immediately alerted, and three fire brigade trucks arrived at the scene to tackle the flames. Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s Bronto Skylift was also deployed due to the building’s height. Efforts to extinguish the fire are currently ongoing.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the fire. However, the affected flat was completely gutted. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. This incident is the latest in a series of fire outbreaks in Mumbai and its suburbs over the past few days.
