Massive blaze erupts at company in western India

A massive fire erupted in western India’s Maharashtra, just 300 meters from the site of a previous fatal boiler blast that claimed 10 lives.

The incident took place near the Abhinav school in the Indo Amines Company in Dombivli area of Thane on June 12.

Visuals showed a massive fire was raging at the company, with fierce flames shooting up high and thick black smoke billowing into the sky. The scene was chaotic, with people running in panic. Fire tender trucks had arrived and were working tirelessly to extinguish the blaze.

Chief Fire Officer Namdeo Chaudhari reported that seven to eight fire engines were immediately dispatched to tackle the flames. “We have been informed that the fire started at Indo Amines, a chemical company near Abhinav Vidyalay. Currently, 7 to 8 fire tenders are on the scene,” Chaudhari stated.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, and information regarding any potential injuries is yet to be confirmed. This incident marks another significant fire-related disaster in the area, raising concerns about safety protocols in local industrial operations.
