A massive 15-foot python slithering up a tree has sparked panic in a village, leaving farmers and locals in fear.

The incident took place in  Adari village of Banda district of Uttar Pradesh, northern India, and the video went viral on December 21.

Visuals show a massive python hanging from a tree branch, appearing extremely menacing as it slithers across the tree. Villagers recorded the video from a safe distance, capturing the terrifying situation.

According to reports, people working in nearby fields were shocked to see the python, which has sparked fear in the area. Its agility, as seen in the video, has led locals to lock their children and animals indoors at night. Farmers are now wary of tending to their crops after sunset. The python’s presence has caused sleepless nights, with residents remaining on high alert.

Forest Department DFO Arvind Kumar acknowledged the video and explained that such creatures often seek sunlight in colder seasons by inhabiting forests and ruins. He urged villagers to remain cautious and to report sightings to the department immediately. Efforts are underway to rescue the python safely.
