Masked women gang robs health official’s house in northern India

A gang of masked women carried out a daring robbery at the home of a health department official in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place at Ashiana area of Lucknow on June 7.

Visuals showed five to six women, their faces covered, were seen arriving at Gulati’s residence, carrying bags on their backs. They broke the lock on the gate and proceeded to enter the house, armed with tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and iron rods. Once inside, they locked the gate behind them and began systematically looting the house, even dismantling ceiling fans.

The robbery occurred while the house was empty. Upon returning, Gulati discovered the break-in and reviewed the CCTV footage, which clearly captured the entire incident. He immediately notified the police, who have since begun an investigation.

The brazen theft has raised concerns about security in the area, with local residents urging authorities to increase surveillance and patrols to prevent such incidents in the future.
