Man’s swift action saves 2-year-old after fall from 3rd floor

In a heroic incident, a man saved a 2-year-old who fell from the 3rd floor of a 13-story apartment building.

This incident occurred at an apartment, in Thane city, in northern India’s Maharashtra on January 25.

Footage shows people passing by the building as a man looks up and realises the child is about to fall from the balcony. He promptly rushes towards the building and breaks the fall by partially grabbing the child. As a result, she lands on the floor, and he carries the toddler to make sure she’s fine. The man’s sudden behaviour caused commotion among the others.

According to sources, the child fell while playing near a glass window on the 3rd floor, which was removed for some painting work. The man identified as Bhanesh Mhatre, saved the child from a fatal fall from the window, with the toddler sustaining only minor injuries. while talking to the reporters, Mhatre said “There is no religion greater than courage and humanity.”
