Man’s scooter swept away by furious floods in southern India
In a dramatic incident in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, a man found himself stranded on a bridge during severe floods, clinging to his scooter as it was swept away by the strong current.
The incident took place on the Matyagedda pipes bridge, located on the Bokkellu to Raigedda road in the Alluri district on September 10.
Visuals showed the man struggling in the flooded stream, desperately holding onto his bike. Despite his efforts, the bike lost control and was washed away by the overpowering floodwaters. The young man himself also slipped into the water but managed to swim to the shore after a tense battle with the current.
According to reports, locals rushed to his aid and pulled him to safety. The young man, a native of Marripalem in Visakhapatnam, expressed relief at surviving the ordeal, even though his bike was lost. The locals also breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that no lives were lost.
