Man’s desire for curry turns chaotic, gets rescued by locals after fishing mishap
The incident took place in Madhira Mandal of Khammam district, Telangana in southern India, on December 1.
Visuals show a crowd gathered at the scene, with two bulldozers stationed nearby. Some locals stood barefoot in the dirty drain, coordinating the rescue. One brave individual entered the narrow space to pull Raju out, while others stood ready to assist. Both the rescuer and Raju emerged covered in grime, but relief turned to celebration as onlookers clapped and cheered.
According to reports, Raju was fishing close to the Siripuram tollgate when he inadvertently became trapped in the drain. Observant locals heard his cries and quickly organized a rescue operation with the assistance of bulldozers. After a short struggle, Raju was safely freed, panting for air. The dramatic rescue has since gained widespread attention, showcasing the community’s rapid response.
