On Tuesday at 9:24 am, a harrowing attack took place on Mumbai’s Dharavi 90 Feet Road. The incident was recorded by a CCTV camera, which shows a group of men assaulting a young man with a chopper-like weapon after he declined to hand over his mobile phone. The attack left the victim critically injured, and he has been hospitalized.
Following the attack, the Mumbai police have arrested four men in connection with the case.
This incident is part of a troubling trend of violence in Mumbai. In a separate case, a 17-year-old boy was killed in Govandi after being attacked with a sword by multiple individuals, including a minor, over a prior dispute.
