Visuals showed the man maneuvering his boat through a street-turned-river, with floodwaters submerging the area, highlighting the severe impact on infrastructure and daily life. The city, struggling under the deluge, witnessed its roads and neighborhoods inundated, with the video quickly going viral.
According to reports, Vadodara city received 12 inches of rain, exacerbating the already critical situation. The Vishwamitri river, which flows through the city’s heart, swelled to 34 feet, leading to widespread flooding from east to west. The condition of the city worsened as floodwaters engulfed homes, businesses, and public spaces, paralyzing the daily lives of its residents.
