Man loses life as truck catches fire after being hit by car in southern India

A man was burnt to death after a car he was in struck a parked lorry in southern India’s Telangana.
This incident happened in Outer Ring Road near Muthangi of Sangareddy district on April 25.
Visuals showed the lorry being engulfed in flames. The car that struck the lorry also was burnt completely and a massive amount of smoke emanated from these vehicles as they were being gutted in the inferno.
According to a report, the accident took place at around 6:15 am IST (Indian Standard Time) when the car struck the lorry that was parked in the emergency lane. The car reportedly was headed to Patancheru from Medchal when it struck the lorry from behind, leading to this accident. It was learnt that the body of the deceased was taken to the Sangareddy government hospital for post-mortem. After this accident, there was a big traffic jam on the ORR road from Medchal to Shamshabad. Firefighters rushed to the spot to douse the flames and the cops registered a case under Section 304A (death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
