Major fire breaks out in oil storage facility in southern India
A massive fire erupted in an oil storage facility located in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh.
The incident took place in Ravulapadu village within the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District on June 13.
Visuals showed the fire blazing and flames covering the sky making the sight scary and horrendous with firefighters trying their level best to bring the fire under control.
According to reports the blaze has been described as severe due to the large quantity of oil stored in the godown, resulting in significant damage to property.
The fire, which engulfed oil tankers, barrels, and a minivan, completely consumed the facility. Firefighters from the nearby town of Kothapet quickly arrived at the scene to combat the flames. Efforts to control the fire are ongoing.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire. The facility’s heavy oil storage is believed to have contributed to the intensity of the blaze. No casualties have been reported so far, but the extent of the damage is considerable.
