A massive fire broke out at the residential apartments in southern India’s Telangana due to an electric short circuit, causing property damage worth 60,000 USD (Rs 50 lakh). Fortunately, all residents escaped unhurt.
The Incident took place at is Golden Orion Apartments, Pupplaguda, Manikonda, Hyderabad on November 16.
Visuals showed flames engulfed an apartment in the building, with fierce fire visibly escaping through the balcony. Thick smoke billowed out, spreading through the area, creating an atmosphere of chaos and urgency. The intensity of the fire illuminated the surroundings, drawing the attention of bystanders. Shortly after the blaze began, a team of fire tenders arrived at the scene, quickly initiating firefighting efforts. The crew worked diligently, maneuvering their hoses and equipment to control the raging flames and prevent further damage.
According to reports, the blaze originated from an electric short circuit in one of the flats. The situation escalated after an LPG cylinder exploded, causing the fire to spread rapidly.
Residents in the affected flat managed to evacuate in time, preventing any casualties. However, the fire caused extensive damage to property, estimated to be worth Rs 50 lakh.
Local fire safety personnel faced challenges in accessing the apartment premises due to a lack of proper entry provisions for fire trucks. Despite this, three fire brigades were eventually deployed and succeeded in extinguishing the flames after a strenuous operation.
Authorities have urged apartment complexes to ensure adequate fire safety measures and access provisions for emergency vehicles.
