Major accident averted as car catches fire amidst technical fault in western India
In a crucial incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a major accident was averted after a car caught fire on the Mumbai-Bangalore road due to a technical fault.
The incident took place at Bhumkar Chowk in Pimpri Chinchwad city on September 3.
Visuals showed the car engulfed in flames, emitting thick black smoke into the atmosphere. Firefighters were seen on the spot, swiftly working with extinguishers to ensure the safety of passersby and bring the situation under control.
According to reports, a Maruti Suzuki Steamer caught fire suddenly. However, the driver stopped the car in time and escaped, preventing a major tragedy. The fire brigade of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation reached out promptly and managed to control the fire. Preliminary information from the fire department suggests the cause was likely a technical fault.
