Mafia flees with tractor as polices uncovers illegal mining in northern India
In a recent incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a mining mafia fled the scene of illegal operations as police arrived.
The incident took place in Babina in Jhansi district and the video went viral on June 28.
Visuals showed the police personnel entering the mining site. Immediately, a JCB tractor with a trolley frantically escapes. The tractor, in a hurry, falls into a pit while the driver flees from the site on foot. A few locals argue heatedly with police, their angry gestures and loud voices filling the air with tension and confusion.

According to reports, Station House Officer Arun Tiwari is accused of accepting bribes from the mining mafia to allow operations within the Babina police station jurisdiction. The matter  currently remains under investigation.
